You try to keep your house clean-but are you worried about bringing potentially dangerous chemicals into your home?
Mrs. Thelma A. Meyer started Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day, with her children in mind, to create cleaning products that are effective and smell like a garden. Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day products get the job done without utilizing toxic additives with overpowering chemical smells.
Ingredients Rooted in Goodness

Mrs. Meyer’s products are “rooted in goodness” as they are formulated with “responsible raw materials”.
Inspired by flowers and herbs, Meyer’s uses plant derived ingredients and essential oils in their cleaning products. When possible in a product formula, Meyer’s also strives to use renewable plant resources like coconut, corn, soy, and olive. Meyer’s never uses potentially dangerous chemicals such as ammonia, chlorine, parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, artificial colorants, phosphates or petroleum distillates. See Meyer’s products full Ingredient glossary here.
Recyclable and Responsible
All Mrs. Meyer’s products use recyclable packaging with fewer pumps and caps. Mrs. Meyer’s also utilizes at least 25% post-consumer plastic in their product bottles.
Meyer’s is a company in support of sustainable farming in eco-sensitive areas such as Africa, Asia, and South America. Therefore, all ingredients derived from palm oil are purchased from suppliers that participate in the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO).
Cruelty Free
Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day is a cruelty free company that never tests on animals. Along with not testing on animals, Mrs. Meyer’s also never includes any animal-derived ingredients.
